Strong Takes is an online publication featuring news-based commentary. It was founded in 2008.
Our Team
Strong Takes is led by:
- SuperStrong (Publisher), a.k.a. Robbie Mitchell, runs a music production company he founded and curates numerous websites in music and literature. He is dangerous from beyond the arc.
- Ruthless Wainwright (Managing Editor), a.k.a. Jesse Andrews, is one quarter of the rock band Teen Plant and can also be found at jesseandrews.com. He speaks excellent German.
Our editorial contributors are rising stars in arts and entertainment. Some are in graduate school and/or have achieved what one would call "fame".
- Wryly Minogue lives in New York. She grew up in the O.C. (But please don't call it that.)
- Heady Vedder lives in Los Angeles. He grew up in small-town Nevada.
- Riff Grease lives in Berlin. He grew up in London and Wales.
- Mello Costelvis lives in Cambridge, England. He grew up in the rocky hills of Colorado.
- Angela Merkin lives in Cambridge, Mass. She grew up in a first-ring Minneapolis suburb.
- Fierce Brosnan lives in Palo Alto. He grew up in London and suburban Ohio.
- Gnarly Simon lives in New York. She grew up in small-town Ohio.
